Buying From Us

  • A 20% non refundable deposit is required to hold a goat. Deposits are not refundable, they are the sum paid to remove the animal from Available status. In some cases, deposits are transferable but they are not refundable. Deposits are not required but the animal is Available to anyone until money has changed hands.

  • Transportation or Pick Up plans need to commence upon deciding you are purchasing an animal. We hold goats for up to 21 days after deposit is taken. They must be picked up at that time or the sale will be cancelled without a Boarding Agreement prior to sale. Sales cancelled for this reason do not result in a return of deposit.

  • Forms of payment we accept are: PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, check, money order, and cash. Financing is not available directly through us but we do have a financial associate that finances goats purchased from us that are registered stock and have our herd letters. Drop us a note and we can put you in touch with them.

  • Papers that are typically included in a private treaty sale are: Registrations, Bill of Sale, Statement of Condition, Health Records, and Health Certificates for travel if necessary

Live Animal Purchases

Our goal is to have you be successful with your purchase from us

  • Buying A Doe From Us In A Private Treaty Sale

    • Let us know when you would like to add your doe from us. Let us know if you will be coming to pick her up or will you be using transportation. We can assist in helping you locate transportation and sometimes we have transportation on a schedule in which she can get a ride.

    • We send some feed with her to help her transition into how she will eat with you. We  give an antibody dose to all goats as they leave to help prevent any shipping issues related to wind and transport. She will come with her medical record that will include her most recent biosecurity test results, her last date of vaccinations, and any other pertinent history relevant to her.

    • If she is an open or exposed registered doe, we can electronically transfer her papers to you the day of pickup and do this frequently to save on the time it takes to receive the registration reflecting you as owner from ABGA or ADGA. If she is a recip carrying embryo babies, there is paperwork that will have to be mailed in to ABGA but half of that paperwork is already done, you need only an Embryo Transfer form that will be mailed in to them so registration is smooth when your kids arrive.

    • We do not sell unwell goats or goats in poor condition so if something should happen where the doe is unwell we would cancel (with full refund) or postpone her sale.

  • Buying A Buck From Us In A Private Treaty Sale - We do not purchase or add outside bucks, all of the bucks available from us have been made through live cover, embryo transfer, or artificial insemination.

    • Let us know when you would like to add your buck from us - we often know when we will have a specific age buck coming available. Let us know if you will be coming to pick him up or if you will be using transportation. We can assist in helping you locate transportation and sometimes we have transportation on a schedule in which he can get a ride.

    • We grade our buck kids sternly to determine if they are truly herdsire material, as a buck is a significant contributor to a herd. They will be past the point of needing coccidia prevention, have shown manageable temperament, and are fully vaccinated before they leave. Most bucks that are the quality to sell will do so between age 6 months and 24 months.
    • We can electronically transfer his papers to you the day of pickup and we do this frequently to save on the time it takes to receive the registration reflecting you as owner from ABGA or ADGA.

  • Buying A Kid From Us In A Private Treaty Sale

    • We do not sell many kids below the age of 6 months but at times that we do, they will come as vaccinated as is appropriate for their age with the next prophylactic coccidia treatment if they are under the age of 4 months. We begin CDT at 6 weeks and pneumonia vaccinations at 7 weeks, coccidia prevention lasts here up to 5 months of age.

    • Bottle kids are extremely rare for us to have available, are sold to experienced homes, and typically without papers if they are Boer. When they are available, they are usually Nubians and will have had good colostrum. They will need picked up by 10 days of age if disbudding is in their future as we do not disbud ours. Bottle Boer kids will also have had good colostrum and will have an established feeding schedule before leaving.

    • Kids leaving with their dam will come with dam’s recent health testing and be up and doing well before they leave with food appropriate for the family to transition to your program.

  • Buying Semen Straws or Embryos From Us

    • We hold 90% of our straws and embryos on farm in one of 7 liquid nitrogen dewars that are on scheduled monthly refill.

    • All straws collected on bucks we own have been quality checked for both density and motility. We have pregnancies from transcervical AI using all of these straws but we can not stand behind the quality of the straws that were not collected during our ownership of a buck. We do not knowingly sell bad straws of outside bucks - if we have seen the straw is bad, we eat the investment and know not to purchase those straws again ourselves.

    • Embryos come with necessary paperwork for the Association to allow smooth registration of your kids.

    • We do not have a shipper available to rent but can point you in the direction of many reproductive centers that do have them available.
